All imagination begins in fiction

This website records metatextual, multimodal projects made under the hand of zerotome, without exaggeration. Words, sentences, sound, images, video, design, and the small ecosystems that naturally begin to form around them. There are so many ways now for a creator to speak, be represented, or leave a trace. Without pretending to be real. Without imitating someone else. Without treating authorship, consent, credits, or rights carelessly.

Some things can become real precisely because they do not exist. Isn’t that interesting?

Things that are not real people, yet feel strangely alive. Things born inside a work, then slowly spilling outside of it. I find them more compelling when another metatextual layer is added.

A band that landed on the border

glassh is not a real band. It is not a replacement for a real band either. Of course it isn’t. Fictional artists born from a creator’s hand can still have their own worlds and personalities. Real authorship and judgment can exist inside them. I am interested in holding onto that difficult-to-name place and unfolding it.

4MATTERZ and glassh are a case that took shape from casual prose, countless imagined scenes, and loose threads of possibility. Songs appeared because I followed what I liked. Responsibility followed because those songs began to be shared and enjoyed with others.

As the materials grew, they needed to be organized and recorded. Once they were displayed, they also needed a public surface. Credits, profiles, metadata, distribution, images.

This fictional label called 4MATTERZ is not a device for disguising fiction as reality. It is closer to a space that quietly gives a place to things that could have disappeared without a trace. Some stories cannot be fully spoken through the creator’s own mouth. Sometimes even letting another person speak them is not enough.

At those moments, I let the work speak. That is the role of this website.
